What if I told you that your English language competence affects your self-esteem and work efficiency? But even more, what if I told that you can actually improve your communication skills in a very engaging and friendly environment and add an extra spark to your corporate appeal?

Together we will work on building your assertive communication skills and advancing your social skills. Since the ability to nurture interpersonal relationships is the most demanding challenge of modern-day professionals, it is my task to get to know the background of your work environment and the market in order to teach you to communicate better and develop successful business relationships. We will work on developing your active listening and comprehension skills, as well as composing structured text in English, which will prepare you for even the most demanding business situations where efficient communication and resourcefulness are required. In the course of our training, you will gradually transform into a skilful business English speaker and consequently enhance your communication skills in Croatian.

Improve your business English proficiency

I offer an individual approach to each of my clients. I start by analysing your actual needs and the level of your knowledge. The sessions are either in groups or one-on-one with the use of the most recent textbooks in the field of business English and daily articles from the magazines in your professional field. My final goal is to improve your English through writing, reading, speaking and listening by incorporating elements from presentation skills, negotiation and corporate etiquette.
Language learning is a process in which the teacher acts as a guide and learners as active participants whose advancement largely depends on the amount of time they invest in themselves. My task is to lead the way and build the foundations for your public presence but most of all to teach you how to continue to grow on your own in that specific domain.

LESSONS

Lessons take place at your business premises in groups (no more than 8 people) or one-on-one.

Master your business English communication

This training module requires English language fluency. It is focussed on brushing up specific segments of your business English communication. It includes the proper selection of words, paraverbal (intonation of voice) and nonverbal skills (gesticulations), argumentation, constructive thinking, conflict management and communication etiquette. These are the basic and decisive skills every negotiation process requires because successful negotiation is not merely striving for an affirmative response but also learning to deal with the negative response and working your way up to a final agreement. This module may include the presentation of your work.

NEGOTIATION

Negotiation skills assume you have mastered communication tactics. Hence in this module, we work more on your active listening skills and handling negotiations in English. After you attend this programme, you will be able to successfully handle stressful situations where English will be an added value.

RHETORIC

In addition to grammar and logic, rhetoric has played a major role in the education of the Western world from the Ancient Greece to the late 19th century. It is still one of the key skills in public speaking not only for lawyers and politicians but all other professionals who need to use their verbal craft to convince their audience about the justifiability of their arguments. In this module, this skill is taught in English so that you can impress your audience with your oratory skills and your overall presentation.

PRESENTATION SKILLS

In the course of this programme, you will learn how to properly and effectively compose the content of your presentation in English. Together we will design your public performance both in terms of the text on the slides and the presentation itself, including the nonverbal skills. This process includes the analysis of your weaker and stronger points so that we can successfully turn your setbacks into advantages.

NETWORKING

Networking incorporates the skills of communication tactics, rhetoric and casual conversation used in informal business situations. It is a system of business events where you have the ability to implement all aforementioned skills by creating your own network of business links to boost the development of your own career and the visibility of the company under your management.

THE ART OF CASUAL CONVERSATION

The art of casual conversation is very challenging in Croatian, let alone in English. This form of public speaking is particularly demanding because it is based on improvisation and unexpected dialogical situations which should have this natural and flowy feel to them. I will teach you about the structure and the art of casual conversation in English so that you can keep your communication integrity even in less formal business situations and additionally build your professional appearance.

BUSINESS CULTURE

Getting to know the country of your business partner’s origin is one of the key requirements for mutual understanding and strengthening of your business relationship. I usually adjust this module to your needs and walk you through the business etiquette of a specific country. This programme teaches you about characteristic protocols, tradition, customs and values of a specific country. We will talk about specific verbal and nonverbal skills during gift-giving, negotiation and conducting meetings with your business partners.

COMMUNICATION TACTICS

An ill-chosen word in English may lead to a minor or major crisis in personal or business communication. Communication tactics is not something that comes naturally, it is a taught skill. I will teach you the skill of tactful communication in English to help you successfully express your opinion and work your way through any kind of conflict. This skill is very important because it is closely connected to emotional intelligence and empathy and it takes into account other people`s feelings and reactions and helps you adjust your response accordingly. This module will help you enhance your professional integrity and corporate reputation.
